Call for papers

Contributions are invited on the subjects within the conference scope and also on other relevant areas. All contributions should be of high quality, original and not published elsewhere or submitted for publication during the review period.

All papers will be reviewed by members of the International Programme Committee, and if of a high enough standard, accepted for presentation orally or by poster.

The Australian Research Council Excellence for Research in Australia survey in 2010 (ERA2010) rated SEB as a Grade 'A' (top grade) conference. See .. here ..

Full and Short Track Papers

Accepted full and short papers will be published by the prestigious publishing house Springer Verlag, as book chapters in a volume of the Springer-KES series in Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies and indexed in Thomson-Reuter's ISI book and conference publications, Elsevier's Scopus (chosen for use as the bibliographic source for the UK REF), and Springerlink, etc. (subject to confirmation).

The proceedings will be published after the conference and sent to delegates by post. The conference programme document, containing the abstracts of all the papers, will be distributed to delegates at the conference.

Further instructions can be found on the Submission of Papers page.

Work in Progress Workshop

Submissions for the SEB WIP Track will be subjected to a 'light touch' review and presented as posters (possibly accompanied by short oral presentations, subject to confirmation) in a special session on the final day of the conference, 5 September 2012.

WIP workshop papers will be published as open-access web publications in the new KES Open Access Library (KOALA), but will not be included in the Springer proceedings.

Further instructions can be found on the Submission of Papers page.
